11 October 2025 | Cyprus University of Technology
“Typographic Days 2025” celebrates its 10th anniversary—ten years filled with inspiration and innovation—honoring creativity in the world of typography and graphic design. This year’s event aspires to be the most dynamic and participatory yet.
As always, it is organized by the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts of the Cyprus University of Technology, and will host renowned designers and creators who will share their passion for typography, their experiences, and the latest developments in the field of graphic design.
The now-established annual event once again offers the public the chance to discover contemporary design achievements, meet top professionals, experience their thought processes and creative work, and engage in a creative dialogue that sparks inspiration and new ideas. The presentations are aimed at both students and the wider creative/professional community that embraces new trends, seeks inspiration, and wishes to expand its knowledge.
This year’s program begins with a morning design workshop, primarily – though not exclusively – targeting students offering opportunities for hands-on exploration, experimentation, discovery, and personal growth. Seats for the workshop are limited and highly sought after, so registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis via the links:

Program
Workshop: Typography for Jazz and beyond
Saturday 11/10/2025, 10:00–13:00, EGRA Lab, Heroes’ Square
Jazz posters are a vibrant testament to the intertwined relationship between visual art and music, often featuring custom-made typography that is as expressive and improvisational as the music itself. Under the sounds of jazz, typography on these posters frequently mirrors the genre’s fluidity and syncopation, with letterforms that might swing, stretch, or break apart, embodying the rhythm and spontaneity of a live performance. This bespoke approach extends beyond jazz: each genre—be it the rebellious edge of rock, the raw power of metal, or the polished choreography of K-pop—inspires unique typographic expressions designed to capture its essence and connect with its audience.
