Eligible for membership of the Cyprus Association of Graphic Designers and Illustrators is anyone living and/or a practicing their profession in the Republic of Cyprus.
The Association consists of regular, cadet and honorary members.
REGULAR MEMBERS
Eligible for a regular membership are all professional graphic designers and illustrators that:
• are qualified graduates of recognized graphic design and art schools and/or universities offering subjects related to the majors mentioned above
• have obtained qualifications equal of the majors mentioned above, that are approved by KYSATS (Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Qualifications)
• are non-graduates but with a professional experience of 2 years minimum or a professional portfolio with completed projects of graphic design and/or illustration.
Regular members have the right to create a personal online profile on the member’s list of the Association’s website.
CADET MEMBERS
Students of recognized graphic design and art schools and/or universities offering subjects related to the majors mentioned above, can become cadet members of the Association, after presenting their student ID and/or any other document proving their student status along with an application to the Board.
Cadet members do not have the right to create a personal online profile until they have completed their studies. After obtaining their degrees, Cadet members can contact the Association via email and request for their membership type to be changed from “Cadet” to “Regular” in order to be able to create a personal online profile on the member’s list of the Association’s website.
HONORARY MEMBERS
People with long-term contribution in graphic design, illustration and visual communication in general or people who have offered significant assistance of any kind to the Association may become honorary members, after an official decision of the Board and the General Assembly. Honorary members have the same rights and duties as the members, including the right to elect and be elected, but are exempt from the obligation of the annual subscription. The Association issues its regular, cadet and honorary members a member’s ID with a photo and indication of their status.
The Association provides a membership ID for regular, cadet and honorary members.
